Product Information

A medieval weapon used to smash masonry walls or to throw projectiles over them!

Now you can build your very own Medieval battle device out of quality Balsa wood.

Easily assembled with the pre-cut, pre-drilled pieces and glue, the wooden trebuchet becomes a working model with an incredible range of up to 20 feet.

Place an object in the bucket and watch it soar through the air as boulders once were flung over castle walls!

Size: 18.5"L X 11"W X 13"H.

Recommended age 10-16 yrs.

Composed of five basic parts, the frame, counterweight, beam, sling and guide chute, a trebuchet is a type of catapult that works by using the energy of a raised counterweight to throw the projectile. The sling is placed in a trough below the axle, which supports the beam. When the trigger is released, the sling and beam swing until one end of the sling releases, opening the pouch and propelling the projectile toward the target. Because of the transfer of the stored energy of the counterweight to the projectile, heavy objects can be thrown far distances.
